Chetek Fire Fighters Ice Fishing Contest:
This contest is held on Pokegama Lake the 3rd Saturday in January with categories for kids and adults. Many local and visiting anglers vie for the prized "Big One" while sharing the beauty of the frozen lake and serene setting. Just buy a ticket at any participating business to be eligible for the contest and many door prizes to be given away.

Hydroflites Ice Fishing Contest:
On the 2nd saturday in February on the beautiful Pokegama Lake the Chetek Hydroflites have a fund raiser Ice Fishing contest to help with the expense of equipment , uniforms etc. The food, friendship and fishig make this a much anticipated event. Tickets can be purchased from any Hydroflite member. Many donated door prizes to be given away.
