In Chetek, we have The Calhoun Memorial Museum . Open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons from 1 to 5 p.m. The displays capture more than 150 years of Chetek's history.

The Pioneer Village Museum, located 1-1/2 miles west of Cameron, on Hwy W (Museum Road), is truly an educational delight with a 30 building town to take you back in time. There are display halls, five historic log buildings and a realistic Pioneer Village main street. Come learn about the past with the family and make memories.
The Chippewa Moraine Ice Age Unit, located 8 miles east of New Auburn on Hwy M is a thoroughly captivating center of education and beauty. This reserve is located on top of an unusual and scenic glacial formation that contains a wide array of both glacial and natural history displays. Adults and children alike are inspired to participate in the many activities offered, interactive displays, games, films and 23 miles of well- marked hiking trails. Chetek has the "New" Stardust Drive-in Movie Theater. Loacated between Chetek and Cameron on Hwy "SS". Movie Line 715-458-4587. We are open from mid April to October Gates open at 7:00 movie starts at dusk. Low priced family friendly entertainment. Grilled burgers brats and hot dogs, Popcorn, pop, ice cream treats and candy. Rice Lake has two excellent community theatres. The Red Barn Theatre, located at 2247 22nd St. Call 715-234-8301 for their schedule of productions. The Northern Star Theatre Co. is located at 104 S. Main. Call 715-736-4444 for a schedule of productions. The Rice Lake Speedway is full of action every Saturday night from late April through September. Located 1/2 mile north of Rice Lake between Hwy SS and 48E. The Bayfield Trail on Lakeshore Drive is an old Indian trading route with a historical marker overlooking the rice beds and the Indian Mounds Park nearby has preserved 12 of the original 67 Indian Burial Mounds.
Within a one hour drive : Irvine Park, with a zoo and garden, and the Leinenkugel Brewery with tours and gift shop both in Chippewa Falls. In Eau Claire's Carson Park there is the Chippewa Valley Museum, Chippewa Valley Railroad and the Paul Bunyan Logging Camp. The Chippewa River State Trail is a 20 mile multiuse recreational trail linking trails in the city of Eau Claire with the Red Cedar Trail near Downsville. Fanny Hill Victorian Inn & Dinner Theatre has fantastic food and intimate stage productions for an entertaining evening. Call 800-292-8026.
There are train excursions to take you back in time on the Osceloa and St. Croix Valley Railway located at 114 Depot Rd in Osceola, 1-715-755-3570. The Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad Excursion Train at 426 N. Front St. in Spooner. Call 715-635-3200 for more details. In Turtle Lake, there's the St. Croix Casino for fun and excitement. The complex has a hotel, restaurant, snack bar, live entertainment, slots, blackjack, video machines and a bingo hall. For information call 800-846-8946.
