| | Fish-O-Rama 2008 gets under way on May 3rd. There will be several hundred crappies and blugills tagged and swimming in the waters of the Chetek Chain at the opening of fishing season. The rules of the contest state that you must have purchased a 2008 Fish-O-Rama button and registered prior to catching the tagged fish. Buttons are available from most Chetek area resorts and businesses at $3 each, $5 for husband and wife or a $6 for family button which includes parents and childern through 17 years. To determin vakue and or sponsorship of the tagged fish, take it to the Rod & Gun Sport Shop in downtown Chetek where a list of all tags and sponsors is kept. |

Sawdust Pile Money Hunt Knapp St. In Downtown Chetek - Street Dance with live music by D-Boys (8:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.)

| | Sunday, August 10, 2008 come out and enjoy the Third Annual Chetek Airport Fly-In and support and help support our local charities. Barecue lunch starting at 10:30 a.m. There will be antique and unique airplane and car displays. There will also be corporate and warbird aircraft on display as well Lunch will be served until 1:30 p.m. There will be many raffles and other events throughout the day. | | Santa comes to the Garage at 10 a.m. to visit with childern. The Chetek Chamber of Commerce will sponsor free sleigh rides, free hot dogs and hot chocolate. The retailers sponsor the "Kids Corner" shopping for kids to buy gifts for mom, dad, grandparents etc. Most gifts items can be purchased for $5.00 and under. |
